You think you have free will, you think you can decide what you choose, you think fate can't be changed, you need to think again! Chris Cox will change the way you think! After selling out at last year’s Edinburgh Festival (his debut) - the mind reader who can't read minds is back reading minds in an all-new show ‘Chris Cox: Control Freak’ which comes to the Pleasance Courtyard.
’Control Freak’ focuses on our ability to control those around us, through a mix of magic, psychology, neuro-linguistics programming, reading body language, subliminal messaging, influencing and lying. It takes the ideas behind the last show, ‘Everything Happens For A Reason’, and explores them in more detail; this funny, entertaining and cutting edge show will leave you laughing, thinking and rubbing your chin in a slightly curious fashion.
Last year Chris looked at how fate and chance are mysteries of the universe, now he’s worked out that there are rules to the universe, and if you learn those rules you can control the universe (as long as the universe is an un-biast selection of people in a room in Edinburgh watching him and thinking he’s great!)
By trying to remove the audience's free will and controlling them without them knowing it, giving them the responses they need he tries to prove that he can make it look like he can read their minds! Chris will be looking at the ‘what if’ moments in life, trying to work out how all those little things about our lives add up to turn us into the person we are. Audience participation crucial!!!
